Case No. LV-2025-PR-000217 NOTICE OF HEARING THE STATE OF KANSAS TO ALL PERSONS CONCERNED: You are notified that on December 23, 2025, a Petition has been filed in this Court by ALAN KOWALEWSKI, the brother of WILLIAM SCOTT KOWALEWSKI, deceased, who owns a ½ interest in the following described real estate. Petitioner also has a ½ interest in the following described real estate and is requesting descent be determined of the following described real estate in Leavenworth County, Kansas: The Northeast Quarter (NE 1/4) of Section Twenty-one (21), Township Nine (9), Range Twenty-two (22); ALSO, All that part of the Northwest Quarter (NW 1/4) of Section Twenty-two (22), Township Nine (9), Range Twenty-two lying West of the New Lawrence Road; LESS the following tracts: Tract A. One (1) acre of land in the Northwest 1/4 of Section Twenty-two (22), in Township Nine (9) South, Range Twenty-two (22) East of the Sixth P.M., described as follows: Beginning at a point on right-of-way line of New Lawrence Road 1069.0 feet South and 1175 feet East of North west corner of said Section 22; thence West and parallel to the North line of said Section, a distance of 292.8 feet; thence South and parallel to West line of said section, a distance of 200.0 feet; thence East 142.8 feet to right-of-way of New Lawrence Road; thence in a North easterly direction along said right-of-way 250.0 feet to the point of beginning, containing one acre, more or less; Tract B. A tract of land in the NW 1/4 Section 22, Township 9 South, Range 22 East, more fully described as follows: Beginning on the Westerly right-of-way of the New Lawrence Road 966.83 feet North 89° 15'21" West from the Northeast corner of said Northwest Quarter (1/4); Thence South 20° 35'44" West 802.45 feet along said Westerly right-of-way; Thence North 87° 50' 06" West 145.73 feet; Thence North 00° 27' 14" East 101.65 feet; Thence North 86° 50' 16" West 144.85 feet; Thence North 08° 24'44" East 650.98 feet to the North line of said Northwest Quarter (1/4); Thence South 89° 15' 21" East 477.93 feet to the point of beginning, contains 6.43 acres more or less, Leavenworth County, Kansas. And that such property owned by the decedent at the time of death be assigned pursuant to the laws of intestate succession. You are required to file your written defenses to the Petition on or before January 30, 2026 in the city of Leavenworth County, Kansas, at which time and place the case will be heard.
