(Published in the Lawrence Daily Journal-World on the 26th day of April, 2018) SUMMARY OF EUDORA CITY ORDINANCE 1075 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER II, ARTICLE 1 (SECTIONS 2-101, 2-106, AND 2-107), ARTICLE 2 (SECTIONS 2-202, 2-205, AND 2-210), AND ARTICLE 3 (SECTION 2-301, 2-302, AND 2-303) OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF EUDORA, KANSAS, RELATING TO ANIMALS GENERALLY, DOGS, AND DANGEROUS ANIMALS . On April 23, 2018, the City Commission for the City of Eudora, Kansas, adopted Ordinance 1075. The Ordinance amended certain sections of the Eudora City Code related to dangerous animals and the care of animals. (Published in the Lawrence Daily Journal-World on the 26th day of April, 2018) ORDINANCE 1076 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER XV, ARTICLE 9 ADDING SECTIONS 15-906 AND 15-907 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF EUDORA, KANSAS, RELATING TO DEBRIS IN CITY STREETS AND ESTABLISHING PENALITIES. NOW BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF EUDORA, KANSAS: SECTION I. That Chapter XV, Article 9, Section 15-906 and 15-907 of the Code of the City of Eudora, Kansas, is added and reads as follows: 15-906. Raking or sweeping leaves, paper, other debris and materials into streets, gutters or drainage ditches. It is unlawful to rake, sweep or otherwise move leaves, grass, dirt, paper, debris or any other material into the streets, gutters, drains or drainage ditches along the sides of any street or alley in the city. 15-907. Penalty. (a) It is unlawful for any person to violate any of the provisions of this article, including all provisions incorporated by reference. (b) Upon conviction of a violation of any provision of this article, the offender shall be sentenced to pay a fine in an amount set by resolution of the governing body from time to time, or to serve a term of imprisonment not to exceed six months, or both. In the case of continuing violations, each day that a violation continues shall constitute a separate offense. (c) The municipal judge may, at his or her discretion, establish a schedule of fines for violations of this ordinance. Such fines shall be imposed upon a voluntary entry of appearance and plea of guilty or no contest to a complaint alleging such violation. Any such fine so established shall be in an amount set by resolution of the governing body from time to time. SECTION II. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and publication as provided by law.
