Case No. LV-2024-PR-000096 NOTICE OF HEARING THE STATE OF KANSAS TO ALL PERSONS CONCERNED: You are notified that on December 4, 2025 a Petition was filed in this Court by Dale Derrell, the cousin of the heirs of MARY T. DERRELL, deceased, who owns a 1/9 interest in the below described real estate. Petitioner has an interest due to his oral agreement with two of the heirs regarding ownership of this real estate and hereinafter requesting: Descent be determined of the following described real estate situated in Leavenworth County, Kansas: Approximately 50 acres located in two separate parcels; situated near 219th Street in Leavenworth County, Kansas (hereinafter the "Property") (property number one described as: Northwest Quarter (NW¼) of the Southwest Quarter (SW¼) Section Four (4), Township Nine (9), Range Twenty-One (21)) (property number two described as a ten acre tract more or less lying in the Southwest Quarter (SW¼) of the Southwest Quarter (SW¼) of Section Four (4), Township Nine (9), Range Twenty-One (21), more particularly described by metes and bounds as follow, to-wit: Beginning at the Northwest corner of the South-west Quarter (SW¼) of the Southwest Quarter (SW¼) of said Section, Range and Township, then South 323.75 feet; thence East approximately 1,320 feet to said North and South center line of said Quarter Section; thence North 326.38 feet; thence in a Westerly direction approximately 1320 feet to the place of beginning). And that such property owned by the decedent at the time of death be assigned pursuant to the laws of intestate succession. You are required to file your written defenses to the Petition on or before January 30, 2026, at 8:30 am of said day, in this Court, in the City of Leavenworth, Leavenworth County, Kansas, at which time and place the cause will be heard. This hearing will occur remotely.
